Suspended Catholic Priest Emerge Govnorship Candidate Vows To Unseat PDP In Benue

Suspended Catholic priest, Rev father Hyacinth Alia, has vowed to restore the lost glory of Benue State and revamp the socio-economic fortunes of the Benue People. He made this known while delivering his speech shortly after he was declared the standard-bearer of the All Progressive Congress at the special convention held at Aper Aku Stadium Makurdi last night after results from its primary across the twenty-three local government areas of Benue were collated and announced.

 Rev father Alia, who was declared the winner among ten governorship contestants with a huge margin of Five hundred thousand, two hundred sixty-eight and seven, expressed appreciation to Benue people for their show of support, promised to retake the state from PDP and transform it stating that his victory at the primary is not for him alone but for APC and Benue People. 

Earlier the returning officer for the primary, Dr. Peter Ojie, after announcing the results called on the party and all other aspirants to work together to win the 2023 election. Just as the State Chairman of the Party, Comrade Austin Agada, says Benue people have spoken with one voice and APC will retake the PDP from the maladministration of Governor Samuel Ortom's government.Rev father Alia, therefore called on the Benue people to go and register and collect their PVC in order to vote for APC come 2023 general elections.
